eNavvi is certified prescribing infrastructure that carries the regulatory weight of every prescription written on it
Clinicians use it to write, price and route prescriptions to any U.S. pharmacy. Patients use it to see where each prescription stands. Health companies build on it when they need a certified environment for a licensed prescriber to review and sign.
Every regulatory layer a prescription passes through — identity proofing, controlled-substance signing, pharmacy routing, standards conformance, immutable audit — was built and independently certified before the first clinician prescribed on it.
Why we exist
Founded by clinicians who were tired of prescribing blind.
eNavvi was founded in 2023 in San Jose, California by practicing physicians — clinicians writing prescriptions into a workflow that, outside the EHR, was still faxes and phone calls. They could estimate what a medication cost. What they could not see was the spread: the same prescription running from a few dollars to a few hundred depending on which pharmacy filled it, whether it was in stock, and whether the patient ever collected it.
That is an inconvenience until you look at what sits underneath it. A prescription is a legal instrument. The person who signs it carries the liability: for identity, for authority to prescribe, for the controlled-substance rules that differ by state and change without warning.
Most software treats that liability as paperwork to route around.
We treat it as the product — so we built in an unusual order.
- Prescriber identity proofing before growth.
- Controlled-substance certification before marketing.
- The national prescribing standard before its mandate.
The result is infrastructure a clinician can use without wondering whether they are exposed — and infrastructure a company can build on without spending eighteen months earning the right to touch a prescription.
We are not finished, and nobody in this space is. But the direction has never changed: make carrying the responsibility of a prescription easier, safer, and faster for the person whose name is on it.
The prescriber's name is on the prescription. The compliance work is ours.
What the marks mean
What our certifications actually cover
Credential marks are easy to display and hard to interpret. Here is what each of ours covers, and who verified it.
- Drummond EPCS certification
- Independent certification for electronic prescribing of controlled substances, Schedules II through V, including DEA-mandated identity proofing and two-factor signing.
- Surescripts E-Prescribing
- Certified connectivity to the national prescription network that links pharmacies, EHR vendors, and health systems.
- SOC 2 Type 2
- Covers security, availability and confidentiality controls over a defined observation period. An attestation, not a certification — and we describe it that way.
- Native NCPDP SCRIPT v2023011
- Built on the current national e-prescribing standard well ahead of its mandated adoption, rather than planning a migration to it later.
- IAL2 identity proofing
- Prescriber identity verified to a federally recognised assurance level before any prescribing is enabled. Not a checkbox: real proofing that ties a specific licensed human to every order.
- Immutable audit trail
- Every proposal, review, edit and signature is provenance-logged and cannot be altered after the fact.
Taken together, these are the layers a company would otherwise spend eighteen months or more building before it could legally transmit a prescription. On eNavvi, they are the starting line.
Who eNavvi is for
Clinicians write and route. Patients follow what was sent. Health companies build on the same certified core.
