If you have been prescribe cefprozil, you may be wondering is what ceprozil exactly or what is ceprozil used to treat?
Cefprozil is a cephalosporin antibiotic that is typically used to treat infections such as bronchitis as well as other infections such as that of the skin, ears, tonsils, throat or sinuses. This medication is used to treat bacterial infections and does so by stopping the growth of the bacteria within the body. This medication cannot be used to treat common colds or other viral infections.
The antibiotic can be prescribed as a tablet or as liquid suspension. The normal course of treatment is taking the prescribed dosage every 12 or 24 hours for a period of 10 days.
